Job description

Job Summary: The Nurse Practitioner works under the supervision of the Associate Medical Director, providing treatment to patients under the State and Federal regulations for the delivery of medical services for an opioid treatment facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Seeks supervision and consults with supervisors daily
  • Understands a variety of models and theories of addiction and medical problems related to substance use disorder
  • Performs annual physical examination of patients in treatment
  • Screen clients to determine need for medical attention and referral
  • Takes patient medical and addiction history
  • Analyzes reports, results of test, and results of examination
  • Records pertinent patient data
  • Advises patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease
  • Treats patients with dignity and respect
  • Provide treatment services appropriate to personal and cultural identity of patient
  • Understands a variety of models and theories of addiction and medical problems related to substance use disorder
  • Participates in case conferences and disposition conferences
  • Maintains the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with State and Federal Laws
  • Conducts medical consultations with patient and/or counselor and appraises supervisor of the consult's nature
  • Collect specimens for blood and urine analyses
  • Perform clinical procedures such as Venipuncture and Electrocardiogram
  • Knowledge of safety procedures
  • Performs other assigned functions as needed for quality service and care
  • Ensures that all work is performed is co-signed by supervisor
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Maintains regulatory requirements (license, registration).
  • Uses time productively
  • Adheres to dress code; appearance is neat and clean
  • Completes annual educational requirements
  • Able to work independently and have flexible schedule
  • Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time.
  • Wears identification while on duty
  • Demonstrates ability to handle multiple tasks.

Language Skills

  • Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with clients, staff, the public and other entities.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Possess basic computer skills.

Requirements/Education:

  • Must be licensed in the State of Pennsylvania as a CRNP by the State Board of Medicine
  • Three years of experience in medical field

Physical Demands:

  • Work environment of moderation in temperature, noise.
  • Sitting at desk for hours.
  • Close vision at a computer.
  • Ability to carry 15 lbs.
  • Repetitive motions for computer use.
  • Reason accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of position without compromising patient care.

Compensation details: 95000-100000 Yearly Salary
