About the Job
This is for a Registered Nurse position for FT Nights or PT nights on the Observation Unit at MedStar Franklin Square
Unit Highlights
The Observation Unit at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is a 24-bed unit that provides short-term care for patients who require additional monitoring and treatment. It's a fast-paced, collaborative environment ideal for nurses who enjoy variety and thrive in dynamic settings. This unit manages a broad range of conditions, such as chest pain, syncope, dehydration, and abdominal pain, offering nurses exposure to diverse clinical presentations. Strong assessment and time management skills are key, as the team works closely with physicians and support staff to deliver timely, efficient, and compassionate care. Must have RN experience and strong telemetry background.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

Qualifications
  • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
  • Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

This position has a hiring range of
USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
