Job description

Position

Surgicare of Hawaii's Medical Assistants assists our nursing staff to provide basic patient care in the perioperative setting.  They are responsible as a member of the Surgicare team to perform these tasks to achieve positive patient outcomes

Supervision

This position will be supervised by the PreOp/PACU charge nurse and nurse manager.  Responsibilities include answering phones, discharging patients, chart audit, OMP, assist with nurses and assist in Endoscopy.

This is a full-time position/40 hr/week, Monday-Friday.

Education, Experience and Licenses

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have Endoscopy experience at least 1-2 years experience
  • Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program
  • 1 - 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Basic Life Support Certification
