Job description

Job Summary:
Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe. They are seeking a Submarine Acoustic Analyst to process and analyze submarine acoustic sensor data for the U.S. Navy, assisting with sensor testing and research.
Responsibilities:
• process, analyze, and report on USN submarine acoustic sensor data to establish sensor health
• perform numerical analysis of new sensor data for research purposes
• work with USN, government, and Peraton engineers to diagnose sensor and data issues in recorded acoustic data
Qualifications:
Required:
• Education: 5 years experience with a BS/BA Degree, 3 years with a MS/MA or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Clearance: DoD Secret Clearance
• Experience performing platform noise analysis
• Experience with BQQ-10 sonar
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Verbal and written communications skills for working in a team environment a must
Preferred:
• Experience with BQH-9 recorder, Alpha/Bravo trials, and Sonar Calibration trials a plus
• Prefer background as a SSN sonar technician
