Job description

Responsibilities

This is a full time position on-site in West Bethesda, MD.

Peraton directly supports the USN submarine fleet and is looking for a Submarine Acoustic Data Analyst to process and analyze submarine sensor data.  This is an excellent opportunity for a USN Sonar Technician (STS or STG) to apply his Navy experience and continue supporting the deploying submarine fleet. 

  • The successful candidate will process, analyze, and report on USN submarine acoustic sensor data to establish sensor health. 
  • Perform numerical analysis of new sensor data for research purposes.
  • This will require working with USN, government, and Peraton engineers to diagnose sensor and data issues in recorded acoustic data. 
Qualifications

Required:

  • HS and 8+ years of experience as a USN STS or STG
  • Clearance:  DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience performing acoustic analysis
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook).  Verbal and written communications skills for working in a team environment a must

   Preferred:

  • Experience with BQQ-10 sonar
  • Experience with BQH-9 recorder, Alpha/Bravo trials, and Sonar Calibration trials a plus

Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
