Looking for a lifetime career? Apply today! Job Description Pump & Valve Engineering designs, analyzes, tests, and delivers advanced technologies for the next generation of reactor plant components. We are seeking a new team member to assist in flow control component and test hardware design, and perform fluid and/or structural evaluations, using a combination of first-principles engineering and finite element analysis. The evaluations performed by the selected candidate will quantify and improve the performance of both new and existing component technologies with the goal of maintaining the US Navy's technical edge. In this role, the selected candidate will be empowered to enhance their design, analysis, and collaboration skills through challenging work assignments, mentoring, and in-house training programs. The design and analysis results generated in this role will directly impact important ongoing technology development efforts. Job responsibilities may include hydraulic design, modeling and analysis, test sponsorship, documenting the results of performance evaluations, methods development, and integration with various testing communities and other engineering disciplines. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field.
