Job description


Located in Mansfield, MA, this exciting role requires a unique combination of technical proficiency with sales focus. The successful candidate will possess a solid technical foundation in safety-related ASME (and related) codes and valve design knowledge as well as skills in developing cost estimates, production schedules and collaborative relationships with supporting functions to prepare complex equipment and service quotations for new construction nuclear power plant projects.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  • Timely estimation of product and services costs on safety-related valve and associated products and related services for the commercial nuclear power industry.
  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure best estimates of costs and lead times are delivered in a timely manner to customers for projects in the nuclear industry.
  • Interact with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and Project Management to support all requirements for information or submittals for new build nuclear projects.
  • Provide check points via contact with Outside Sales and Operations to optimize both competitiveness and manufacturing complexity.
  • Communicate, maintain, and distribute a complete and accurate pricing list of all standard specials.
  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure best cost sources and manufacturing locations are used in developing estimates and suggest manufacturing locations for all required items and services.
  • Interact with industry leaders and joint identification of future nuclear qualified material and product needs.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
  • 4-year Engineering or Technical degree.
  • Experience working with product and qualification engineers to assess feasibility of quoted product
  • Experience and competence to read and evaluate engineering drawings.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, and/or order entry experience or 3+ years Emerson experience, in these areas, with related industry experience.
  • Previous experience working with suppliers to develop, procure, quote parts and components for rough casting quotations is a plus.
  • Experience-based skills to ensure that accurate product cost has been developed for each quotation.
  • Exposure to valve applications and understanding of how they relate to valve selection.
