Job description

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Imaging Services or Imaging Supervisor, and in accordance with the guidelines established by the Medical Director and the scope of practice by the Society of Nuclear Medicine, functions as a technologist within the Nuclear Medicine Department. Assumes immediate responsibility for the technical operation of the Nuclear Medicine department and assists in the supervision of daily activities of the personnel and physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by performing Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT testing and therapy, which produces imaging of patient's organs and circulatory systems, and treatment of disease through the use of radiopharmaceuticals.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine training program is required.
  • Certification by the NMTCB or ARRT is required. Continuing education credits consistent to remain licensed by the accredited bodies mentioned.
  • License with the State of Indiana for nuclear medicine is required.
Maintain CPR certification.
