Description
The Authorized Nuclear In-Service Inspector is responsible for performing independent inspection services to ensure compliance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), National Board Inspection Code (NBIC), and jurisdictional requirements within nuclear and industrial environments.
This role involves working directly with clients to review quality assurance programs, verify adherence to code requirements, and support safe and compliant operations. The position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to interpret complex codes, and the capability to operate independently while maintaining professional client relationships.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
โข Current National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with "N" and "R" endorsements
โข Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Authorized Nuclear Inspector performing ASME BPV Code inspections
โข Working knowledge of ASME Section XI, applicable Code Cases, and related standards
โข Experience with quality assurance programs, inspection processes, and repair procedures
โข Strong communication and documentation skills
โข Ability to work independently in regulated environments
Requirements
โข Perform ASME and National Board inspection services in shop and field environments
โข Review and verify implementation of client quality assurance programs and design specifications
โข Monitor compliance with ASME BPVC, NBIC, and jurisdictional requirements
โข Document inspection activities in accordance with company procedures
โข Support inspection of repair and replacement activities for pressure-retaining components
โข Maintain accurate and timely inspection reports
โข Apply knowledge of ASME Section XI and related standards
โข Communicate effectively with clients and maintain professional relationships
โข Participate in ongoing training and professional development
