Job Description

Job Title: Component Design Engineer - LW Survivability Technologies

Working Pattern: Full time

Working location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid/3 days on-site on avg)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Component Design Engineer to join the team in Indianapolis. The Component Design Engineer is part of the Global Mechanical Systems Capability function. The Component Design Engineer shall create engineering solutions that satisfy functional and physical requirements symptomatic of Product System and Sub-System level environments. Crucially, the engineered solutions must exhibit robustness for manufacturing capability.

The Component Design Engineer is responsible for the on-time delivery and quality of component design definition artefacts i.e. documents, models, definitions that meet system level and sub-system requirements. The Component Design Engineer will participate within an IPT described by Product Lifecycle System (PLS) and operate in accordance with applicable Rolls-Royce Management System (RRMS) policies and processes. The Component Design Engineer is responsible for sub-system integration of the technical activities for their design solutions and enabling lifecycle profitability through the Supply Chain Design.

Why Rolls-Royce?

Rolls-Royce is one of the most enduring and iconic brands in the world and has been at the forefront of innovation for over a century. We design, build and service systems that provide critical power to customers where safety and reliability are paramount.

We are proud to be a force for progress, powering, protecting and connecting people everywhere.

We want to ensure that the excellence and ingenuity that has shaped our history continues into our future, and we need people like you to come and join us on this journey.
