Job description

Email Marketing Operations Manager- Full Time Remote

Our Organization

CDP, a Boston-based public benefit corporation, uses the collaborative fundraising model to improve the operational efficiency and revenue generation capacity of the public media system. CDP currently provides more than 230 NPR and PBS stations with outsourced marketing, data analytics, fundraising, and technology services. These services help stations raise more net income, grow their donor files faster, lower their fundraising costs, and free up development talent allowing stations to better focus on local engagement. Since its inception as a business unit with the WGBH Educational Foundation and subsequent evolution to a freestanding entity, CDP has driven $150 million in incremental net value back to stations and has become the most widely adopted station service in the history of public broadcasting.

Just as CDP is committed to supporting public media organizations around the country, we are equally committed to supporting each of our team in their own professional development.

  • Conduct detailed quality assurance of copy, creative, links, tracking, audiences, suppression rules, personalization, and dynamic content.
  • Monitor deliverability metrics, investigate issues, and coordinate corrective action when needed.
  • Support IP warming and email onboarding activities for new MSB stations.
  • Track station participation (opt-ins and opt-outs) for all solicitations.
  • Maintain campaign documentation, and operating procedures.
  • Identify and implement improvements that strengthen quality, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for email production questions and escalations.
  • Partner with SMFS, Digital Production, client services, data, and technology teams to execute campaigns accurately and on schedule.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Three or more years of hands-on experience producing and managing complex email marketing campaigns.
  • Experience building, testing, and deploying campaigns in an email service provider or marketing automation platform.
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills, including experience troubleshooting responsive email content.
  • Experience with segmentation, personalization, dynamic content, templates, and automated journeys.
  • Working knowledge of email deliverability metrics and troubleshooting practices.
  • Experience managing quality assurance, proofing, and approval processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document workflows and explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
