SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible developing lean manufacturing processes, providing technical support to all functional departments, leading development projects, and guiding team members. They shall work collaboratively with internal and external customers to provide technical solutions while effectively managing processes, policy, and strategy changes. This position will require extensive customer support including visits to customer sites.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop product configurations and methods utilizing company ERP systems.
  • Interpretation and validation of manufacturing processes and documentation in accordance with required specifications.
  • Lead design reviews to ensure that parts can be manufactured efficiently and in compliance with customer requirements.
  • Communicate and interpret requirements with vendors and customers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and execute cost/cycle-time reduction initiatives.
  • Conceptualize and create fixtures to support manufacturing using 3D CAD software.
  • Create assembly and test procedures for complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Process engineering change orders and lead the implementation process.
  • Track and update cycle times in ERP System.
  • Provide technical guidance (product and process) to all functional departments.
  • Conformance to ISO procedures and FMI established protocols.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Materials
  • 7+ years of experience in the precision manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Computer literacy including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, & CAD software.
  • Experience developing and documenting processes for electromechanical assembly in a cleanroom environment.
  • Knowledge of complex machining processes and equipment (mill, lathe, screw machine, etc.).
  • In depth understanding of secondary processes such as welding, brazing, anodizing, and precision cleaning.
  • Experience developing and coordinating failure analysis test plans (destructive and non-destructive).
  • Expertise in testing techniques such as helium leak testing, rate of rise testing, hydrostatic leak testing, and particle count testing.
