Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • 2 years of experience working in product design, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in product/hardware platform design safety.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to quickly understand new equipment, creative problem solving and ability to think outside the box.
  • Applied project management skills and ability to create workable project plans with project scope, and execute on such plans.

Safety and Ergonomics play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and usability of new product designs.
As an EHS NPI Technical Program Manager, you will proactively review product designs at all stages of development, identify potential safety hazards and ergonomic risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective mitigation measures. The primary objective is to minimize the risk of safety incidents and promote the well-being of end-users by integrating safety and ergonomic considerations into the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Provide EHS leadership for the introduction of new hardware products, implementing mitigations to ensure the highest level of safety possible. Evaluate new data center hardware for employee hazards to servers, racks, tools and related infrastructure, coordinating equipment changes with cross-functional teams to enable risk mitigation across the product life cycle.
  • Manage safety requirement integration into design standards, coordinate equipment reviews with cross-functional teams to perform job hazard analysis.
  • Review incidents with cross functional teams to evaluate risk mitigation options for current and future deployed equipment.
  • Manage and report risk and mitigation data to partner and stakeholder teams.
  • Travel of 15-20% as needed.
