Job description

The New Product Development (NPD) Engineer Intern in Converting will support the company’s Continuous Improvement strategy and gain valuable exposure working in an ISO 13485 certified environment. This internship provides the opportunity to contribute directly to the company’s core values: Safety and health, Respect for people, Highest ethical behavior, and Protect the planet. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, gaining hands-on experience in engineering practices, testing, and project execution.

Reports to: Engineering Manager - Converting

Key Focus Areas

  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to completion.
  • Facilitate project team meetings to gain exposure collaborating across engineering, operations, safety, and quality departments.
  • Assist in process validation equipment qualification activities.
  • Conduct investigations and gather data to support process decisions and product improvements.
  • Report regular updates on project initiatives.
  • Provide general engineering support to the engineering team on active projects.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or related field.
  • Strong interest in process development in an ISO 13485 environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Hands-on aptitude and willingness to learn through practical project experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD experience a plus.
