CollinsCompanies, Pallette Stone Corporation is seeking a Precast ConcreteEstimator at our Saratoga Springs, NY facility.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Review plans and recognize potential precast bid opportunities
  • Prepare accurate quotations and shop drawings based on project specific plans and specifications
  • Utilize inventory / invoicing software to ensure accurate and timely billing
  • Gain full understanding of NYSDOT and National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) standards for precast concrete
  • Gain full understanding of precast Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) program

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to work outside of scheduled hours to meet demands of position

Required Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of concrete and various aspects of construction
  • Strong mathematics skills with the ability to calculate, analyze data and compute rates, ratios and percentages
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Strong ability to plan, organize and work independently to meet expected deadlines
  • Strong ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to report to work on time with record acceptable to the company's insurers

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with telephone-based customer service
  • Experience with Excel spread sheets
  • Experience in construction estimating/sales

Compensation:Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and visioninsurance with a company-funded retirement plan.
Annual Salary
$30,400.00 - $78,750.00
Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
