This is one of the largest and most respected teaching hospitals in New England, operating as a Level 1 Trauma Center delivering cutting-edge treatment to its patients. The facility is home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and one of the most advanced medical simulation training centers in the world, supporting a large, vibrant, and growing Hospitalist program with comprehensive orientation for both new and experienced providers.
Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners - Hospitalist/Emergency
Job Details:
  • Per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner position within an inpatient medicine hospitalist setting
  • Provide full-spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status
  • Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
  • Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs including referrals to other health team members or specialists
  • Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician when needed
  • Flexible full-time day schedule with premium differentials offered
  • No call schedule required
  • Must hold an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License or be eligible
  • Must be a certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 1+ year of experience in an internal medicine or hospitalist setting required
  • Utilizes EPIC for state-of-the-art clinical and informatics technology to promote improved patient outcomes
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
