Job Summary
The Manager, Global IT Business Applications serves as a technical leader overseeing the management, optimization, and evolution of the organization's business applications portfolio. This individual will lead a skilled team responsible for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Salesforce, custom applications in Microsoft and Oracle. A successful candidate will possess deep understanding of these technologies, demonstrate leadership capability, and the ability to mentor team members while ensuring compliance with critical control frameworks such as segregation of duties. This role serves as a peer to the Infrastructure Lead and ERP Development Lead, collaborating closely to deliver integrated solutions across the technology stack.
General Responsibilities:
  • Collaboratively design, advise on, and operate the technical solutions needed to run the IT business applications landscape for Novus across ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft. Translate business requirements into appropriately integrated technical designs, establish technical standards and best practices, and serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing applications team by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and creating individual development plans. Identify and cultivate technical talent, conduct hiring, and foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
  • Partner with IT Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, business process experts, and stakeholders to evaluate requirements and problems and recommend solution options.
  • Oversee the implementation of technical solutions in projects, coordinating internal and external resources.
  • Manage project planning, governance, and delivery to ensure initiatives remain within scope, budget, and schedule while meeting quality standards.
  • Ensure solution delivery follows best practices related to ITIL, SOX compliance, and Security. Enforce segregation of duties, conduct access reviews, implement role-based access controls, and maintain audit trails and preventive and detective controls to mitigate fraud and operational risk.
  • Manage the Change Control process to ensure quality solutions and changes are deployed in a controlled, streamlined, and transparent manner with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Review, advise and manage the software lifecycle in collaboration with the provider, plan and execute the software maintenance for providing stable and robust systems with least impact and disruption to business operations.
  • Responsible for managing the Disaster Recovery plan for the Technology stack in coordination with the IT Infrastructure team.
  • Establish SLAs and performance metrics, monitor application health and uptime, and lead incident and root cause resolution. Manage the Disaster Recovery plan for the technology stack in coordination with the IT Infrastructure team, maintaining documentation, runbooks, and recovery procedures.
  • Align with leadership on strategic applications roadmap based on business priorities. Coordinate with peers and management to manage the budget run rate, optimize vendor relationships, and continuously improve the technology stack to meet the evolving needs and goals of the business.

Key Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • Advanced degree (MS/MBA) or Bachelor's degree or comparable training in Information Technology and 8+ years of information technology experience.
  • Deep understanding of business process and thorough knowledge of one or more ERP applications including system architecture, functionality, configuration and their integrations (not necessarily hands-on coding).
  • Hands on skills with non ERP business applications focused on data and process integrations using technologies like JAVA, SQL, Microsoft Powerplatform, etc.
  • Working experience with one or more Analytical/Reporting IT solutions, Cloud based technologies, proven experience in multitude of implementation and upgrade projects, migration projects for moving data and solutions from old(legacy) to new technology solutions.
  • Proven working knowledge of best practices including IT service support, service delivery, change control, audit processes and compliance documentation.
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience.
  • Fluent in English
  • May require evening or weekend work for system maintenance windows and critical incident response
