Job description

Anesthesiologist Opening

Anesthesiologist opening with Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, VA. The Prince William Medical Center campus, is part of the Novant Health UVA Health System. The campus features an acute care hospital with 130 beds and around-the-clock emergency room services; a behavioral health facility; fitness and wellness centers; and the Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center. In Haymarket, VA, a community hospital with 60 beds, the Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center, opened its doors in 2014. Our practice services Prince William Hospital and Haymarket Medical Center.

Total rewards salary: $520K. Sign-on bonus incentives: $70K. Comprehensive benefits package: health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance; generous paid time off; flexible spending accounts/health savings accounts; 401(k) & profit sharing; fully paid malpractice insurance coverage; loan repayment & training assistance available.

Case assignments & schedule: flexible schedules; OB/GYN, orthopedics, spine, interventional radiology, podiatry, plastics, healthy pediatrics, and bariatrics; assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department.

Key responsibilities: provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures; perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent; develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients; manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia; monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed; support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Requirements: M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine; ECFMG and FLEX; completion of approved residency in anesthesia; currently licensed as a physician.
