THE WORK
This is an Expat Technical Service Representative (TSR) Position - MH60R Avionics/Mission Systems Technician supporting the Norwegian Royal Air Force's MH60R fleet in Bardufoss, Norway. TSR will perform routine organizationallevel maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Avionics/Mission system components. The TSR will conduct postflight inspections, document and correct equipment discrepancies, and carry out daily checks while the helicopter remains in flight status. Responsibilities include operating, installation, and troubleshooting of all avionics and mission systems components. Technician should also be familiar with basic aircraft maintenance such as fueling, lubricating, and pressurizing aircraft; and mounting, tracking, and balancing rotor blades and heads. In addition, the TSR will lead organizational repairs that require signature authority, ensuring compliance with both U.S. Navy and Royal Norwegian Air Force maintenance policies, complete and sign off all maintenance actions in the aircraft's logbooks and electronic maintenance system, and provide technical guidance to flight crews and junior personnel. Coordination with RNoAF maintenance leadership, logistics teams, and U.S. Navy representatives is essential for parts, tooling, and technical data support. The position requires a minimum of five years recent experience as an authorized MH60R Avionics/Mission Systems Maintainer with signature rights, as well as certification of completion of a U.S. Navy MH60R Type Course for Avionics Systems. Candidates must possess the ability to obtain required U.S. and Norwegian security clearances, meet physical requirements for aircraft maintenance work, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Norwegian language proficiency is a plus). Preferred qualifications include prior support of foreign military operators, additional certifications such as an FAA A&P license or EMAR MAML License. The role involves work in hangars, maintenance bays, and outdoor environments, exposure to noise and hazardous materials, and may require oncall duty to support flight operations. Interested applicants should submit a resume, relevant certifications (including MH60R Type Course completion and signature authority documentation), and a cover letter detailing their MH60R organizational repair experience and support of foreign air forces.
