Must-Have: Comfortable caring for both pediatrics and adults
Description:
This Emergency Department sees both pediatrics and adults.
Travelers must be comfortable caring for both populations.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4.
Weekend shifts are required every third weekend.
No on-call assignments are required for this position.
The facility will not require floating outside of the service line.
Travelers are not open to an accommodating block schedule.
Local candidates residing within a 75-mile radius are not accepted.
Daily census ranges from 120 to 160 patients.
Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
The unit handles a variety of chief complaints, including abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke symptoms, and musculoskeletal injuries.
Pediatric experience is preferred.
Special requirements include proficiency with a glucostabilizer.
Modules may be required prior to starting the assignment and must be completed on time to avoid delays.
