Job Description:

Job Summary
Utilizes current physiologic, anesthesia science, and holistic care principles to effectively assess the needs of patients; identify an anesthesia plan of care; and implement and evaluate the care given. Provides direct and indirect care to patients and leads the patient care team toward goal achievement in accordance with Standards of Nurse Anesthesia Practice, National Standards of Care as identified by respective professional anesthesia organizations. Coordinates and directs care given by other team members. Addresses system issues to facilitate the provision of quality efficient care. Delegates appropriately to other team members. Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, time management, and problem solving skills required.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: Program completion from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program
Experience
Required: Minimum 1 year nursing experience in a critical care setting OR 1 year CRNA experience
Skills
Determines department scope of care or service in relation to values, mission, and strategic plan of the institution.
Working knowledge in human relations, customer service, inventory management.
Ability to work with multiple people while meeting numerous requests and deadlines.
Continues education through current review of anesthesia practice (as defined by recertification requirements) and maintains organizational and priority setting skills.
Comfortable working knowledge and utilization of Aseptic Technique.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required:Missouri State Registered Nurse AND Certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist the National Board on Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBC RNA)
