Job description

Software Engineer at Remodel Health
We are Remodel Health, the health benefits platform that revolutionizes health benefits to resource organizations with missions that matter. Our platform shifts organizations from traditional, one-size-fits-all health insurance plans to an individualized health insurance experience for each employee and their family.
We were founded on faith-based principles, and have a heart to serve all organizations, from small to large to enterprise. Historically, our core customer pipeline has consisted of churches, K-12 private schools, Christian higher education, and faith-based nonprofits. In recent years, we have grown to serve largely for-profit organizations of all sizes.
Our team is collaborative, intentional, and prioritized. We care deeply for our customers and passionately believe there is a better way for employees to receive health benefits from their organization. Learn more about who we are here!
The Product Team is looking for a Software Engineer to join our lean and dedicated group of Engineers. You will have the opportunity to be a key team member in a growth-focused startup environment. Be both supported and challenged to grow your skillset, and work within a tight-knit team that values learning and teamwork.
In our stack, we use modern tools like React, Redux, Material UI, .NET Core, SQL Server and Azure. We have automated build deploy processes and value strong testing methodologies with automated tooling to help.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for integrating with third-party APIs, developing web services, coding in the UI and backend (including SQL) and making architecture decisions. You will be responsible for the quality of your work and be challenged to develop and maintain well-tested code, from idea to production. You will develop software that performs well and supports an engaging user experience. You will have a voice in the technical direction of the team.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of software experience
  • Experience writing and consuming REST APIs
  • A strong foundation of Object Oriented patterns
  • Good understanding of data structures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience developing web services using C# or Java
  • Develop web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
Benefits
  • Full health benefits offering, including life, long-term disability, dental, and vision
  • Generous PTO
  • 401(k) match
  • Sabbatical PTO available after 5 years

This is an in-office position in downtown Indianapolis four days/week, with work from home Fridays.
