What Work You Will be Responsible For:
  • Managing the sales tax compliance process for clients sales tax returns

  • Sales tax research projects

  • Managing information and people related to sales tax compliance

  • Interacting with clients and managing staff

  • Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues

  • Managing registrations and business licenses for clients

Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience with sales tax compliance

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent field

  • CPA, JD, CMI, PHD, or Enrolled Agent

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • CMI (sales tax) designation a plus

  • Excellent communication and organization skills

  • Experience with sales tax preparation software such as Vertex or Alteryx

  • Understanding of sales tax issues, including exemption certificate management, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries and use tax issue.
