Job Description

Join Chase's Card and Connected Commerce Content team and help bring cardmember benefits to life through storytelling that is clear, accurate, and aligned with business objectives. You will help turn complex benefits into content customers can understand and act on.

As a Copy Editor Card Benefits Editorial in Card and Connected Commerce Content, you collaborate with writers, producers, project managers, and business stakeholders to deliver benefits content across Chase's credit card portfolio. You ensure content is accurate, consistent, and easy to understand while supporting review workflows and quality standards. You apply strong editorial judgment to improve readability and reduce customer confusion.

Job responsibilities
  • Copy edit content across Chase's credit card portfolio and related Card and Chase Travel digital experiences, including marketing newsletters, partner emails, articles and microsites.
  • Collaborate with writers, editors, project managers, designers, producers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality work on schedule.
  • Ensure content is clear, concise and aligned with brand messaging and applicable card-level voice guidelines.
  • Maintain high editorial standards, including grammar, punctuation, usage, tone and readability.
  • Apply style guides and quality-control processes, identifying inconsistencies and recommending improvements.
  • Fact-check key details (e.g., benefit descriptions, terms and required disclosures) and identify potential inaccuracies, ambiguities or areas of customer confusion.
  • Support content review and approval process by incorporating feedback accurately and tracking changes across versions.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in consumer finance, travel and dining content.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
  • 3+ years of copy editing experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong command of grammar, punctuation, usage and plain-language writing principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to edit for clarity, customer comprehension, tone, and brand consistency - without losing the writer's intent or the business message.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high-volume projects and tight deadlines independently.
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment and coordinating edits across multiple stakeholders and review rounds.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  • Copy editing experience within a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment with structured review and approval processes.
  • Familiarity with AP Style guidelines.
  • Experience copy editing travel, lifestyle or personal finance content.
  • Familiarity copy editing email marketing and digital content (including subject lines, preheaders and scannable on-page copy).
  • Portfolio or examples demonstrating copy editing/proofreading work (before/after samples or annotated edits preferred).
