Family-owned Toyota dealership in Wood-Ridge, NJ seeking motivated individuals to start a long-term automotive technician career. $20/hour starting pay, paid training, internal promotions, and a clear path to union eligibility and advancement.

This is an entry-level position designed as the starting point of a long-term technician career, with pay growth, training, and a path to union membership upon certification and advancement.

About the Dealership

We are a family-owned Toyota dealership located in Wood-Ridge, NJ, with significant employee tenure and a proven track record of promoting from within. Many of our current union technicians began their careers in entry-level positions.

We believe in hiring individuals with strong work ethic and ambition, then investing in their development through training, certifications, and mentorship.

Position Overview

The Quick Lube / Entry-Level Technician role is the first step in a clearly defined automotive technician career path. While this position does not begin as a union role, motivated individuals can become eligible for union membership once they advance into a certified technician position.

This opportunity is ideal for humble, hungry, and ambitious individuals who want to learn, earn more as they develop skills, and build a long-term career in the automotive field.

What This Role Leads To

With training, certification, and strong performance, this role can progress to:

  • Mid-Level Automotive Technician
  • Toyota-Certified Technician
  • Union Technician status upon qualification
  • Long-term career growth within our service department

Advancement is performance- and certification-based, not time-based.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic maintenance services
  • Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections
  • Assist and learn from senior technicians
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow Toyota and dealership service procedures
  • Learn shop tools, systems, and systems

Training, Pay Growth & Career Advancement

  • Starting pay: $20 per hour
