We are looking for an Instrument/Analyzer to support our Commerce City Refinery. In this role, you willsupport process operations, maintenance, and engineering by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing process control system equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An Associate's Degreein the Instrument and Controls fieldORSuccessful completion of a formal program in the field of Process Instrumentation through military service or crafts apprenticeship programwith5 years of recent practical experience in maintenance of industrial instrumentation and controls equipment(calibration of smart transmitters, PLC, DCS, AMS, rebuild control valves, etc)
  • Current ISA (Formerly: Instrument Society of America) CCST Certification Level I (or equivalent) and 5 years of recent practical experience in maintenance of industrial instrumentation and controls equipment(calibration of smart transmitters, PLC, DCS, AMS,rebuildcontrol valves,etc)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain online analytical instrumentation through preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Perform the routine checks and maintenance required to ensure equipment functionality and reliability
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of all analytical equipment calibrations in accordance with site quality procedures and documentation best practices
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues that impair proper functionality of analytical systems
  • Provide the required support needed to resolve non-scheduled priority jobs during normal and after hours
  • Assist with updating and creating equipment specification sheets, CEMS equipment files, checklist and procedures
  • Responds to work orders, overtime situations, and the needs of the refinery.
  • Look for opportunities to improve reliability

Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Commerce City refinery, located at 5801 Brighton Blvd.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, 5x8 hour shifts Monday through Friday OR 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday, depending on business needs
  • Paid overtime, often 100-600+ hours per year based on plant needs
  • You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
  • This position is safety sensitive
  • In alignment with Suncor's value of Safety Above All Else, we conduct pre-employment drug testing, employment verification, education verification, background checks, and other pre-employment assessments as a condition of employment

Hourly Rate and Compensation Details:

  • This is a union represented position under USW 12-477
  • $55.16 per hour with annual increases
