Job description

Spinrite is the largest craft yarn and sewing thread company in North America. As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Machine Operator to join our growing Manufacturing team.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this individual will be responsible for operating and setting up production equipment, monitoring performance to ensure efficiency and quality, and making basic adjustments or troubleshooting minor issues. The role includes inspecting finished products, maintaining accurate production records, following safety procedures and schedules, keeping the work area clean, and adhering to directions from supervisors and team leads.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Operate machinery according to production standards, work instructions, and safety procedures

* Set up and adjust equipment for production runs (e.g., loading materials, setting speeds, calibrating controls)

  • * Monitor machine performance to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime
  • * Inspect products during and after production to ensure quality standards are met

  • * Troubleshoot minor issues and make basic adjustments to keep machines running

  • * Report equipment malfunctions or production issues to the supervisor or maintenance team

  • * Maintain production records, including output, scrap, downtime, and quality checks

  • * Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets

  • * Ensure compliance with safety policies and wear required PPE at all times

  • * Maintain a clean work area and support housekeeping standards (5S)
