Job description

Now Hiring: Deployment Engineer for Law Enforcement Software Platform (Full-Time, Remote)

Bring your law enforcement experience into the tech world.
ย
Are you a former law enforcement or public safety professional with hands-on experience managing evidence systems, working with internal IT, or leading tech-driven initiatives within your department? Weโ€™re looking for someone like you.
Our client, a fast-growing software company serving public safety agencies nationwide, is seeking a Deployment Engineer to join their remote team. Their platform helps law enforcement organizations streamline evidence management, chain-of-custody processes, and operational data workflows. This is your chance to take your frontline experience and apply it to building better systems for those still serving.
ย
Why This Role Might Be Perfect for You
  • You've worked with (or overseen) digital evidence systems, RMS platforms, or chain-of-custody workflows.
  • Youโ€™ve helped implement or upgrade software systems in your department or agency.
  • You understand how public safety operations workโ€”and how to make them better through technology.
  • Youโ€™ve transitioned (or are ready to transition) into IT, project coordination, or data-driven work.
What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Work directly with police departments, sheriff's offices, and public safety agencies to understand their operations and configure the software to match real-world workflows
  • Lead implementation projects from system analysis through full deployment
  • Migrate and integrate legacy evidence data into a modern SQL Server environment
  • Write SQL queries, stored procedures, and generate reports using Crystal Reports
  • Collaborate with agency stakeholders to train users and ensure a smooth go-live
  • Occasionally support pre-sales efforts by advising on technical scope and project feasibility
Ideal Background
  • Prior experience in law enforcement, evidence room operations, or agency IT support
  • Project management experience (even informally) within a public safety or security setting
  • Hands-on experience with systems like RMS, CAD, or evidence management software
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills (queries, data validation, or reporting)
  • Familiarity with technical support tools like remote desktop and help desk systems
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with both sworn officers and IT teams
Whatโ€™s in It for You
  • Remote-first role with meaningful work that supports the public safety mission
  • Occasional travel (5โ€“10%) to client sites
  • Competitive salary, full health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous PTO and holidays
  • 401(k) plan with company contributions
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) option
This is more than a tech job โ€” itโ€™s a way to keep serving the law enforcement community while growing your career in IT, project delivery, and software deployment
