Job description


SUMMARY:
Mortenson is currently seeking an Integrated Construction Technician who will be responsible for supporting the Virtual Design Construction team; responsible for the preparation and maintenance of Building Information Models throughout the construction process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Produce 3D models

  • Incorporate changes into models during preconstruction and construction

  • Update information to project locations

  • Assist VDC team with project coordination models

  • Work with VDC team on models during preconstruction and construction

  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree or minimum of two years producing electronic documents for construction

  • High competency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Synchro 4D, Trimble SketchUp, and Bluebeam Revu

  • Proficiency with Autodesk BIM 360 Field and Glue, 3DS Max, Civil 3D, Point Layout, Faro Scene, Google Earth Pro, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)

  • Familiarity with game engine technologies (Unity, Unreal, Lumion 3D), Parametric Analysis solutions (Dynamo, Grasshopper, Solibri), basic key frame animation, 2D/3D rendering, 2D/3D postproduction preferred

  • Experience working with deadlines

  • Entry level technical knowledge of construction

  • Solid organization skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Strong graphic design skills

  • Competency with advanced software in 2D and 3D

  • Experience with Autodesk Architectural Desktop (ADT), Autodesk Building Systems (ABS), Revit, and/or Graphisoft Constructor

  • Active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback

The base pay range for this role is $50,000- $67,600. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
