Job Summary Job Summary The Nutrition Services Supervisor oversees all daily operations of nutrition services at a school site(s) according to department standards and government mandates; supervises nutrition services staff at a school kitchen(s) to ensure duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner; ensures availability of quantities of items; completes forms, prepares reports, and communicates orally and in writing to convey information. Certification must be submitted at the time of application.

Failure to provide this information may be considered an act of dishonesty and could affect hiring decisions.

Examination process: Completed applications are reviewed and candidates who meet the minimum qualifications participate in an examination process. Exam components may consist of a Performance exam, weight 30%, and Qualifications Appraisal Interview, weight: 70%. The competitive basis for this recruitment is established as Open/Promotional-Dual Certification.

Completed applications are reviewed and candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and submit a valid food safety manager certification will proceed to the examination process. Candidates who pass the examinations are placed on an eligibility list. The eligibility list is used to fill vacancies within the six-month eligibility period.
