Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Non-Union Concrete Superintendent at our Boise office to oversee and manage structural concrete projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidates will be responsible for supervising field operations, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining high-quality standards, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in concrete construction, and excellent communication skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise all aspects of on-site structural concrete construction activities, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Direct and oversee field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers, maintaining productivity and quality workmanship.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare daily reports, including work performed, labor hours, and materials used.
  • Enforce safety standards and company policies to promote a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide updates and resolve issues promptly.
  • Inspect work to verify compliance with quality standards and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and schedule concrete pours, formwork, rebar installation, and finishing operations.
  • Identify and address potential project delays, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including field logs, inspection reports, and change orders.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural concrete construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
  • Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure concrete projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of concrete forming, placement, finishing, and curing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and safety regulations (OSHA standards).
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Certified in OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety preferred.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.

OTHER:

  • Primarily field-based position; exposure to outdoor weather conditions and construction site environments.
  • May require working extended hours, nights, or weekends as project demands dictate.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as necessary.
