S+B James Construction has been setting the standard for excellence in healthcare, education, life sciences, commercial, retail, industrial, and public works construction in Southern Oregon and Northern California.

WORK DESCRIPTION:
Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools. Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.

  • Report safety, customer or quality concerns.
  • Install products as allowed by associated collective bargaining agreement and/or project labor agreement.
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times.
  • Understand blueprints and sketches. Measure, shape, and cut materials to specified measurements.
  • Safely unload and stage material at job site

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Belong to local union with current membership.
  • Background check may be required.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, bend, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Occasional out-of-town travel
  • Drug screening per union requirements.
  • Dependable and punctual
