What are some common challenges faced by Non Union Agency RNs when adapting to different healthcare facilities?

Non Union Agency RNs often face the challenge of quickly adapting to new work environments, policies, and electronic health record systems at each assignment. While this variety can be rewarding, it can also be demanding, so agency RNs benefit from being highly adaptable and proactive in seeking information and support during each placement.

What is a Non Union Agency RN?

A Non Union Agency RN is a Registered Nurse who works for a staffing or employment agency that does not have a labor union representing its nurses. These nurses are often hired to fill temporary or short-term positions in healthcare facilities, such as hospitals or clinics, where there may be staffing shortages. Unlike unionized nurses, Non Union Agency RNs negotiate their own contracts and terms of employment, and they may not have the same collective bargaining protections or benefits as unionized staff. This role offers flexibility and a variety of work environments but may come with less job security and fewer standardized benefits.
