Job Description:
Structural Analysis Engineer
Location: Berkeley, Missouri (Onsite)
Role Overview
Our organization is seeking experienced Structural Analysis Engineers to join our team in the Greater St. Louis region. This role involves verifying structural integrity by using analytical methods and finite element models to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance. You will support current and emerging aircraft programs within the Air Dominance division.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish system design.
• Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
• Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods and finite element models.
• Lead the development of test plans, support test execution, and analyze test results to validate and verify systems.
• Define and document certification and test results to substantiate that requirements are satisfied for customers and regulatory agencies.
• Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
• Develop analytical processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort.
• Work under minimal direction.

Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience is required. In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required.
Experience:

• 10+ years of relevant structural analysis experience.
• 10+ years of experience using classical solutions.
• 8+ years of experience analyzing primary structure, subsystems, or weapons in the Aerospace Industry.
• 5+ years of experience dispositioning non-conformances as a strength engineer.
• 5+ years of experience supporting fixed-wing military aircraft.
• A minimum average assignment duration of 1 year as a contractor.

Technical Skills:

• Experience performing hand calculations.
• Experience with industry CAD systems (e.g., PRO-E, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, NX/Teamcenter, CATIA/ENOVIA), FEM software (PATRAN/NASTRAN, Stresscheck, Hyperworks, Abaqus), and MS Office.
• 3+ years of experience using software tools, specifically, TC/NX and Patran/Nastran.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with our organization's tools (e.g., CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, Common Structures Workstation).
• 3+ years of experience with our organization.
• Prior work experience with our organization is preferred.
