All Internships through the Children's Home Association are unpaid. We are currently offering Summer and Fall 2026 Internships.

About the internship:

An intern position with our clinical program would be trained to provide direct clinical services to children ages 3 to 18 and their families. The direct clinical services provided by the clinical intern would include therapy/case management services for client/client's families and coordination with community collaborators on behalf of clients. The intern may provide individual, group and family clinical services to clients in their home and out in the community. The intern would be required to represent the program and agency at internal and external meetings. The intern would also be required to complete Medicaid documentation and other basic core responsibilities. On a weekly basis, the intern may find themselves facilitating and individual session with a child, a family session with their family, teaching parenting skills, advocating for the child with their school or other community resources, teaching social skills to the client, completing assessments, treatment plans, or other Medicaid paperwork. Flexibility is an important quality for this worker to possess. Interns would also be required to attend ongoing training, meetings, supervision, and clinical shadowing experiences as a member of the Behavioral Health Team.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work/Counseling
