United Way of Greenville County serves individuals and families throughout Greenville, Greer, Mauldin, Simpsonville, Fountain Inn, and Travelers Rest, as well as surrounding communities like Berea, Judson, Gantt, Sans Souci, and Taylors.

Overview:

The Corporate Engagement Manager plays a key role in advancing United Way of Greenville County’s mission to improve lives, strengthen the community, and advance equity for the benefit of all. This position manages and grows a portfolio of corporate and community partnerships, developing strategic, year-round relationships that generate revenue, deepen engagement, and create lasting community impact.

Working closely with corporate partners, the Corporate Engagement Manager will align United Way’s initiatives with each company’s philanthropic and social responsibility goals. This includes designing and executing effective corporate giving campaigns, securing sponsorships, supporting volunteer engagement, and identifying new business prospects. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven professional with experience in fundraising or sales, strong presentation skills, and a passion for community impact.

Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of corporate partners, maximizing engagement, philanthropy, and revenue for the annual campaign and special initiatives.

Develop tailored partnership and solicitation plans that align corporate CSR goals with United Way’s mission and community priorities.

Lead or assist in securing sponsorships, corporate gifts, employee giving participation, and volunteer engagement opportunities.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, pledges, and results in United Way’s contact management system.

Deliver compelling presentations and serve as a dynamic ambassador for United Way at corporate, community, and industry events.

Strategic Growth & Business Development

Identify, cultivate, and secure new partnerships, including lapsed or prospective corporate accounts.

Collaborate with internal teams to design creative, data-driven engagement strategies that drive participation and increase corporate support.

Analyze campaign and partnership performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and long-term growth.

Align efforts with the organization’s broader resource development and community impact strategies to ensure integration and sustainability.

Volunteerism & Community Engagement

Partner with the Director of Volunteer Engagement to integrate volunteer activities into corporate relationships, creating meaningful and mission-aligned experiences.

Connect with and engage companies with United Way Greenville County community events and service projects that reflect shared goals and values.

Customer Service & Stewardship

Provide exceptional customer service to donors, volunteers, and partners responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and requests.

Ensure partner recognition and stewardship activities reflect appreciation, transparency, and long-term relationship building.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum two years of experience in fundraising, sales, or account management.

Flexibility to attend evening or weekend events as needed.
