Introduction to the Role and Practice:

Centra is actively seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist for our nationally recognized, comprehensive cardiovascular program.

Centra's Heart & Vascular Institute and Stroobants Cardiovascular Center offer a sophisticated cardiovascular program with advanced cardiac imaging, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart, vascular, and cardiothoracic surgical services.

 The Heart and Vascular Institute is part of Centra, a nationally recognized Virginia healthcare system encompassing four hospitals, regional medical centers, and more than 70 primary care/specialty practices. Centra fosters a vibrant, collaborative team environment with a strong priority on physician satisfaction, all reflected in our high employee retention rate and long staff tenure.

  • Completion of medical degree and residency/fellowship training in Cardiology. 
  • MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in physician's primary specialty. Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.
  • Call schedule of 1:13 on weekends and 1:13 on weekdays
  • Large, physician-led, nationally recognized group of ambitious, board-certified cardiologists 
  • Support from a team of 15 APPs (advanced practice providers) 
  • Hospital integrated 
  • Clinical research team within practice 
  • Physician leadership roles within practice 
  • Cardiovascular specific physician liaison and a market share analyzer to establish new referrals and manage, track, and report growth opportunities
