The Fredericksburg Field House is currently accepting applications for Concessions Attendant. The Concessions Attendant is responsible for providing outstanding guest service, receiving and processing payments, serving food and beverage items in a timely manner, as well as preparing and cooking food in a timely manner according to menu standards.


Compensation: Part Time Hourly $13.00 - $15.00/hour + tips


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Operate cash register and Point of Sale (POS) System
  • Engage with members and guests to include greeting customers
  • Provide excellent service, build rapport with guests and respond quickly to requests
  • Build rapport with members and guests
  • Upsell food and beverage items
  • Serve food and beverage items in a timely manner
  • Open, close, clean, and maintain concessions areas
  • Organize, stock and control inventory
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by supervisory personnel (F&B Manager, Manager on Duty, etc.) and/or the General Manager.

Qualifications


Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:


  • Minimum of one (1) year of cooking experience, preferably high volume; less than high school education; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in English
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages, as well as make change in US currency
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to de-escalate highly emotional situations and resolve situations to benefit the company and the guest
  • Upon hire and training, the individual must be able to successfully utilize the facility Point of Sale software
  • This individual must be 18 years of age if the facility sells alcoholic beverages


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following:


  • Food Handlers Certification (within 60 days of employment)
