Part-Time, Non-Union, Non-Exempt Position


BASIC FUNCTION OF EDUCATION AIDE:

Assist the Teacher and Assistant Teacher in providing a safe learning environment and implementing planned classroom activities to provide an educationally sound experience, which meets the individual needs of the children.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF EDUCATION AIDE:

  • Assist Teacher or Assistant Teacher in planning activities
  • Carries out educational activities supporting individual children's learning outcomes
  • Supervises designated groups of children
  • Maintains a clean, safe and orderly physical environment
  • Reports any health or behavioral problems to the Teacher
  • Supports parent involvement and engagement throughout ECD
  • Fulfills Mandated Reporter responsibilities
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION AIDE:

  • H.S. or G.E.D. required
  • Credits in ECE preferred
  • 2 yrs related experience in an early childhood program desired
