Senior AWS DevOps Engineer 100% Remote U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder status and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance W2 employment only NO C2C Responsibilities: • Design, automate, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support highly available, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient applications. • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeBuild. • Support containerized workloads and deployment automation using Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD. • Automate provisioning, scaling, monitoring, recovery, security scanning, and vulnerability management using infrastructure-as-code and DevOps best practices. • Implement observability, monitoring, and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and related tools. • Troubleshoot performance, latency, reliability, and deployment issues while maintaining SLAs and SLOs. • Apply IAM best practices, encryption strategies, secure networking, and compliance controls for requirements such as HIPAA, FedRAMP, and SOC 2, as applicable. • Partner with developers, architects, QA teams, and transition teams to validate handoffs, support release coordination, and ensure smooth production deployments. • Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps standards, automation, and technical excellence across teams. Requirements: • U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder status and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree. • Minimum 6 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience, cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation. • Hands-on expertise with AWS core services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, and IAM. • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK. • Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, ArgoCD, Helm charts, Dockerfiles, secrets management, environment configuration, and deployment workflows. • Strong scripting or development experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages. • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve complex operational and reliability challenges. What Would Be Nice to Have: • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification. • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or other AWS specialty certification.
