Job description

We are seeking a Quality Technician to support our Quality team by ensuring products, materials, and manufacturing processes meet customer, company, and industry quality requirements. This position performs inspections, measurements, calibration, quality documentation, and supports continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, incoming, and final inspections.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, customer specifications, and quality standards.
  • Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, snap gages, bore gages, CMMs, dial indicators, and gear inspection equipment.
  • Perform calibration activities and maintain calibration records.
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials and products.
  • Support control plans, process capability studies, PPAP/ISIR activities, and first-part processes.
  • Assist production employees with proper measurement methods and quality requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain quality records, customer documentation, and quality system paperwork.
  • Support internal quality audits and supplier quality activities.
  • Prepare quality reports, data analysis, and supplier correspondence as needed.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of manufacturing and/or quality experience preferred.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
  • Experience using precision inspection and measurement equipment.
  • Calibration experience required.
  • Basic math and geometry skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with CMM programming/software such as PC-DMIS or MODUS is a plus.
  • Experience with gear manufacturing, particularly bevel gears, is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
Work Environment

This position works primarily in a manufacturing/production environment, including areas with CNC machinery.
