Description:
BMW of South Albany is seeking motivated individuals with automotive technician experience to service new and used cars at our busy dealership located in Glenmont, NY! We offer an excellent compensation package with competitive pay rates and a great work environment.
Our technicians perform all warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance and repair work.
Technicians are also responsible for installing accessories and performing new vehicle pre-delivery inspections, along with prep work. Technicians are required to maintain a current knowledge of vehicles and their service needs as described in manuals and technical bulletins, along with attending regular factory-sponsored trainings.
Requirements:
• At least (3) years of prior experience as a technician, preferably in a dealership setting
• Basic knowledge of vehicle electronic components, theory, systems, and testing tools and procedures
• Skill in diagnosing and repairing all key vehicle systems and components
• Knowledge of the proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, along with using tools and equipment safely
• Basic writing skills (to record work performed and recommended future service requirements on repair orders) and the ability to read and interpret repair orders
• Reliable with good attendance, work ethic, and time management skills
• Valid, insurable driver's license and ability to pass a background check
