Job Summary: Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Specialist Level 3
Location: Tukwila, WA | Duration: 12 Months | Shift: First | Start Time: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
About the Role
Join Indotronix as a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Specialist Level 3 and play a pivotal role supporting Boeing's commercial aircraft operations in the Puget Sound. This is a hands-on, onsite position offering the chance to author critical NDT procedures, develop calibration standards, and directly influence safety and compliance in aerospace engineering. Grow your expertise in a dynamic, collaborative environment with exposure to advanced inspection technologies and the opportunity to work on industry-leading aircraft projects.
Responsibilities
- Author and revise Non-Destructive Test (NDT) procedures to meet rigorous aerospace standards.
- Develop Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) for specialized calibration standards and inspection figures.
- Set up and calibrate advanced NDT and measurement equipment for precise testing.
- Compose clear, detailed procedure figures illustrating inspection locations, geometry, and probe/transducer placements.
- Monitor inspection results; promptly report adverse trends or anomalies for proactive resolution.
- Provide emergent Level II NDT support for Boeing's diverse commercial aircraft fleet.
- Work within confined spaces to perform thorough inspections and measurements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years' combined education and hands-on experience in Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) or Non-Destructive Test (NDT).
- Proven experience as a Level II NDT technician in ET, UT, or RT methods; able to document certified NDT hours.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and CAD software.
- Willingness to work variable shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel up to 15%.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces.
Preferred Skills
- 5+ years relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- NAS 410 or equivalent Level II certification in ET, UT, or RT.
- 1200 documented hours in UT, ET, or RT; 400+ hours in Ultrasonic Shear-Wave and LFEC.
- Expertise in developing advanced UT & ET techniques and inspection procedures.
