Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

1. Transfer of finished product from the press, Secondary and sort areas to Warehouse Staging, or sort areas as required.

2. Proper storage and handling of all non-conforming and Work-In-Process materials.

3. Organization and cleanliness of the corrugated packaging materials area.

4. Organization and cleanliness of the returnable container and skid storage areas.

5. Check all shipping documentation for accuracy prior to staging shipments.

6. Stage, label and insure quality check of all assigned shipments in an accurate and neat manner.

7. Load trucks in a neat and timely manner and send ASN if required.

8. Comply with all quality requirements concerning shipments.

9. Maintain the warehouse in a neat and orderly condition at all times.

10. Maintain storage areas outside.

11. Observe safe work practices at all times.

12. Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Requires commitment to continuous improvement in order to meet ever increasing demands for improved quality, cost, and delivery performance.

2. High degree of ethical and professional standards. Must be trusted by peers and superiors.

3. The ability to communicate effectively with operators, other support staff and the Shift Supervisor.

4. Ability to communicate effectively with other, both internally and externally.

5. Ability to perform in a proactive mode and to plan and respond to changing requirements.

6. Ability to maintain neat and accurate records.

7. Ability to handle stressful employee situations in an effective manner.

8. Treat all employees in a consistent, fair, and respectful manner.

9. Ability to excel in a team-based environment.

10. General computer skills are required. Must have the ability to enter job related data into a computer system.

11. Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness.

12. High school diploma is required.
