Job description

A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable Clinical Pharmacist to ensure precise preparation and compliance in both sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical compounding. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety through adherence to state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations according to master formula worksheets.
  • Implement and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee compliance with USP , , and guidelines.
  • Supervise cleaning and garbing processes to meet company policies.
  • Perform pharmaceutical calculations and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Operate production and computerized equipment, ensuring quality control.
  • Prepare work areas to uphold aseptic techniques and sterile environments.
  • Conduct quality control tests and inspections to verify medication purity, potency, and safety.
  • Provide patient counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications.
  • Stay current with compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies through professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Pharmacist (PA license required).
  • Experience in sterile compounding is essential.
  • Recent pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Open to new graduates with relevant training and a strong attention to detail.
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, with varying shift options:
    • 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
    • 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
    • 10:30 am to 7:00 pm (may be assigned)
