J. Bespoke is a sophisticated cocktail lounge in NoMad with a focus on sports programming. Tucked discreetly behind Devocion’s new cascara concept, La Fabulosa, the property is an exclusive new hideaway for sports fans and their cohorts seeking an elevated cocktail experience.
J. Bespoke was conceived to fill an untapped niche – a refined venue that offers sports programming in an upscale, speakeasy setting. With just 51-seats and attentive, personalized service, the lounge offers a luxe counterpoint to the city’s mainstream sports bars.
J.Bespoke is looking for an experienced and creative bartender with exceptional bartending skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. The successful candidate will be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customer's’ needs and expectations. A thorough knowledge of mixology, wines, liquor and cocktails is required. Applicants need to be gracious, friendly and be able to multitask in a high volume environment and focus on exceeding guest expectations. Must have a flexible schedule. Responsibilities
• Opening and closing the bar
• Full bar service including wine and beer
• Making drinks in a quick and efficient manner
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm they’re of legal drinking age
• Maintain bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Requirements
• 1+ yrs experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate(s)
