Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Drives a van with passengers on a set route.
  • Greets clients and guests, providing additional customer service such as providing them with requested directions or assistance, as needed.
  • Records determined data, such as mileage and passenger numbers.
  • Tracks and arranges for maintenance of van, updating maintenance log and taking van for routine and as needed maintenance at determined location.
  • Provides general housekeeping duties to ensure the cleanliness and safety of van and drop off lobby areas.
  • When requested, will adhere to other health and safety protocols, such as temperature checks, sanitizing van, wearing a mask, asking passengers to wear masks, and other tasks as identified.
  • Keeps calendar up to date in electronic health record with transportation appointments.
  • Uses GPS to ensure most efficient route is used.
  • Uses e-mail and cell phone technology to remain in contact with supervisor and team.

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

EDUCATION

  • High School Equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow and interpret basic written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to interact with guests in a friendly way.
  • Basic computer skills, such as e-mail and the ability to input data into a health record (with training).
  • Ability to use GPS.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proof of automobile liability insurance.
  • Positive driving record.

EXPERIENCE

  • No prior experience necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Position requires lifting 50 pounds maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Involves considerable bending, stooping, and standing in the regular performance of tasks.
  • Routine exposure to extreme levels of temperature, moisture/wetness, and air/noise pollution.

Within the bounds of their respective job descriptions, all staff are expected to exercise principle-centered leadership, focused on customer service responsiveness, with a continuous quality improvement orientation. Additionally, all staff are expected to develop a working knowledge of and follow all policies and procedures related to safety management and other Joint Commission standards.
