Software Engineer, Full Stack / Manufacturing Tools
We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop custom internal tools that integrate with our ERP system and support production, manufacturing, test, and quality workflows. This role is focused on building practical software used by engineering, operations, manufacturing, and business teams.
Responsibilities
  • Develop custom tools and integrations for ERP and related internal business systems.
  • Build full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, Express.js, and Node.js.
  • Design, develop, and maintain database-backed applications using SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Create APIs, dashboards, reporting tools, workflow automation, and production support utilities.
  • Develop production and manufacturing test tools used on the shop floor.
  • Build GUIs for manufacturing, test, diagnostics, configuration, data entry, reporting, and operator workflows.
  • Write Bash and PowerShell scripts for automation, deployment, test execution, system configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Package and deploy applications using Docker containers.
  • Work with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and operations teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable internal tools.
  • Support data collection, traceability, test records, production metrics, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Debug software issues across front end, back end, database, ERP integration, scripting, and production environments.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably building internal tools, manufacturing tools, ERP integrations, or production systems.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript, React, Express.js, and Node.js.
  • Experience designing and working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience building APIs, web applications, dashboards, and data-driven tools.
  • Experience with Docker containers and containerized deployment workflows.
  • Experience with Bash and/or PowerShell scripting.
  • Ability to build clean, usable GUIs for technical and non-technical users.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to work directly with manufacturing, quality, operations, and engineering stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating with Epicor ERP or similar ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience building manufacturing test tools, production dashboards, quality tools, or traceability systems.
  • AI integration experience, especially applying AI to ERP workflows, reporting, data entry, document processing, analytics, or process automation.
  • UI/UX experience, including user workflows, wireframing, design systems, accessibility, and usability testing.
  • Experience working in compliance, quality, or regulated manufacturing environments; AS9100 experience is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on hardware experience, including building PCs, configuring systems, troubleshooting hardware, or supporting production equipment.
  • Experience with barcode scanners, label printers, test fixtures, serial devices, networked equipment, or shop-floor hardware integrations.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, logging, monitoring, and secure software development practices.
