Job description

The Hughes Center in Danville, Virginia, is seeking a Leader  Adolescent Psychiatry Physician for residential treatment services.

Position Highlights

  • Full-time employed or independent contractor opportunity
  • If employed overall compensation range, $335,000 to $365,000.
  • Collegial work environment with strong clinical and administrative support
  • Oversight of two experienced, well trained NPs.
  • New 96-bed facility with expanded resources

About the Program

  • Serves adolescents and young adults ages 13–22
  • Provides residential treatment and a day school for students in grades K–12
  • Supports individuals with:
    • Intellectual disabilities
    • Autism Spectrum Disorder
    • Other Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD)
  • Focused on helping patients build skills for greater independence in their homes, schools, and communities

Ideal Candidate

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in:
    • Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, or
    • General Psychiatry with extensive Child & Adolescent experience
  • Interest in intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, and PDD

Qualifications

  • MD/DO from an accredited program
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia
  • 5–6 years of training experience
  • Must meet credentialing requirements
