Switchboard is building a community curated oracle ecosystem on Solana. Our goal is to enable censorship resistant access to all forms of data on-chain and to help power the next generation of decentralized applications on Solana. Our core contributors come from all backgrounds and include crypto native self taught programmers as well as ex Google and Facebook engineers. We're backed by an all-star team of investors and are looking for people who believe in decentralizing data as much as we do to join us for the journey!


About the role:


As a rust developer contributing to Switchboard you'll help our community build & operate sustainable, on-chain infrastructure.Β 


You will:

  • Design and implement smart contracts on Solana

  • Build, maintain and improve Switchboard's existing on-chain infrastructure

  • Write open source clients that make it easy for the community to interact directly with Switchboard

  • Work with team & community on feature design, scoping and implementation

  • Improve code documentation and examplesΒ 

  • Participate in on-call rotations as neededΒ 


About you:


  • You're passionate about economic freedom & the opportunity to build a new decentralized financial system and internet with crypto

  • You have a BS in computer science or equivalent practical experience

  • Experience with Rust, particularly writing high-performance high-security code.

  • You have experience working with distributed systemsΒ 


Nice to have:


  • Previous professional experience in crypto

  • Experience working with SolanaΒ 

  • Existing contributions to open-source software products
