Thrive Pet Healthcare – Hurst is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our supportive, patient‑focused team. This is a hands‑on clinical role ideal for technicians who enjoy working collaboratively, delivering excellent patient care, and being part of a positive, team‑oriented hospital environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in daily patient care by:

  • Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Supporting anesthesia, surgical assisting, and post‑operative care
  • Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures
  • Monitoring anesthetic patients (ASA I–III)
  • Collecting laboratory samples and performing in‑house diagnostics
  • Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and sterile treatment, exam, and lab areas
  • Using safe restraint techniques to ensure patient and team safety
  • Working collaboratively with technicians, assistants, and doctors to support smooth patient flow
